What is salvation?

To be saved is to be rescued from sin, spiritual death and eternal punishment. When you're saved, you are accepted by God through what His Son, Jesus, did for you on the cross.
- Salvation is to become a new creation. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
- Salvation is to enter a new relationship with God. (2 Corinthians 5:18)
- Salvation is to receive a new spiritual nature. (Ezekiel 36:26a)
- Salvation is to be forgiven of your sins. (Ephesians 1:7)
- Salvation is to receive eternal life. (John 3:16)

Why do I need to be saved?

All people have sinned against God, who is righteous and pure. (Romans 3:23) We have all broken God's holy law by lying, coveting, stealing, sexual sin, and more. (Exodus 20:3-17) The Bible states that the just wage of sin is death (separation from God). (Romans 6:23a) Therefore, all who die in their sins will be consigned to everlasting punishment. (Psalm 9:17)

But God loved us so much that He made a way that we may be saved! Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. This was the purpose of his death on the cross and his resurrection from the dead. Jesus went to the cross to bear your punishment for sin. (Ephesians 2:13,16) (Colossians 1:20-22, 2:14)

He died in your name, in your place and as your substitute! He shed His blood to cleanse your sin and to bring you into acceptance with God! (Revelation 1:5)

Salvation frees us from the claims of sin and death and brings to us the actual experience and spiritual impartation of God's eternal life!

How do I get saved?

Jesus lived and died to give us salvation. You cannot earn it or pay for it in any way. You could never deserve this wonderful gift. God offers it to you freely. You must, however, reach out to God and receive salvation, much like we would receive any other gift! The Holy Bible plainly teaches us how to receive the gift of salvation.
1. Repent. (Turn from your sin.) (Luke 13:3)
2. Believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior! (Acts 16:31, Mark 1:15)
3. Receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior! ("Lord" means owner, controller, or authority.
Jesus is to become your "King") (John 1:12, Revelations 3:20)
4. Commit yourself to follow Him. (Matthew 16:24)

What Now?

Are you ready to turn from your sin, believe that Jesus paid the price for your sin, receive him as your Lord and Savior and follow Him? God has given you some powerful promises in these verses!
(Romans 10:9-10, Romans 10:13, 1 John 5:11-12)
You can claim these promises as your own through a simple prayer of faith! It can go something like this...
"God in Heaven…I turn from my sin. I want to be saved! I believe that your Son, Jesus, took my place and my punishment on the cross. I believe you raised Him from the dead and that He is alive right now. Jesus, I believe in you and receive you as my Lord and my Savior. I will follow you from this moment forward as you strengthen me!
Thank you for forgiving me and saving me! Thank you, God, for the gift of eternal life! You are now my Father and I am now your child! In Jesus name, Amen!"

Now that you are saved, there are some things you need to know
about this new life.

What is Speaking in Tongues?

When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you can speak in other tongues. (Acts 2:4) Your mind will not understand or gain anything from tongues. It will sound useless and foolish to the natural mind. You are speaking mysteries to God, not to yourself or other people. (1 Cor. 14:2) Speaking in tongues is an act of your will. God gives you the ability to do it but will not force you or do it for you. (1 Cor. 14:14,15)

How do I become filled with the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is already here for every born again person. You don't need to wait or work to receive Him.
(Acts 2:38,39) If you ask for the Holy Spirit in faith, the Father will give Him to you. (Luke 11:13)

Would You like to receive the Holy Spirit today?

Pray according to Luke 11:13 , ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit.

"Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I ask You to fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I receive Him from You and according to the Bible, I can now pray in other tongues."
